I have been intrigued with the thought of taking part in The Goddess Gathering retreat ever since I heard Stephanie Johnston at Work of Heart 2018. Earlier this summer I was invited to a party to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my mom’s cousin and her husband. It was special for me because I had been their flower girl, and it would mean a trip back to Newfoundland and a chance to be with family that I hadn’t seen in many years. I’ve been on hiatus from writing, and it has been a choice, and then again, it hasn’t. This last year and a half has kicked my ass. I have moved from what I did for work and who I was, to what I do and who I am now. There has been depression, anxiety, lethargy, weight gain, self loathing and feelings of unworthiness. I keep feeling that I should be feeling something, or doing something, but I don’t and I can’t. Not every day, but enough of them that the good days feel far apart, and much too short.
