One of the best things about having my own blog is that I to choose with whom I work. That’s why I’m so pleased to be able to share my experience as a client of Rehab One Performance Center.
I first met John Gonzales a few years ago and went to him for physio treatment last year. As it turns out, when I went to see him a few weeks ago, it was a year to the day since I started that first treatment.
While John was working on my injury we had a chance to chat, and he asked about my blog. Through that discussion, he suggested that we work together. I was thrilled to be able to tell others about the community that John has created, and to introduce some of the team members.
I had such a great time learning the stories behind the people at Rehab One, from Matt’s personal experience as a young athlete trying to find a cure for an injury, to Ashley finding her place in Massage Therapy. John’s leadership and commitment to providing exceptional care shows through in every interaction that he has with clients and team members.
John spoke about the core values of Rehab One:
The professionals at Rehab One know the importance of creating a team that facilitates collaboration not only between services, but between their two locations. At the initial appointment an assessment is done in order to determine the nature of the injury and what type of treatment is required. Sometimes that may mean the client could benefit from additional services, and the collaboration between team members ensures that the client’s best interests are always top priority
Providing exceptional care is the focus for all team members at Rehab One. From the time you first walk through the door, to the time you complete your treatment, each person that you meet creates a welcoming and caring experience. The goal is for everyone to receive the best care possible. That also means keeping up to date with the latest treatment options and technologies and taking advantage of learning opportunities.
The focus at Rehab One is on people, starting with the people that work there. As John says, “When we have people here who are being awesome, and love to come to work, that makes us all happy.” The positive energy that people provide can help with the healing process. That is why creating this type of culture is such an important part of Rehab One’s philosophy.
Members of the Rehab One team do outreach through doctor’s offices, and with many other types of charities. By giving back to the community, team members share experiences and create stronger bonds.
This word can have broad meanings, but for the members of the Rehab One team, it’s about doing what is needed to consistently be at their best, and to create the best. Sometimes that means going outside their comfort zone. Ashley’s story of how she got into the field of Registered Massage Therapy, showed a lot of courage.
After our chat I decided to take the advice of the professionals and booked a massage with Ashley. The experience reminded me of the importance of taking the time for self care. I will be sure to make getting a massage a regular part of my life.
If you have health insurance, check with your provider to see if you need a referral in order to access treatment. Check out the website to find out more information about the services and team members at Rehab One in Moncton and Riverview.
Thanks again to John, Matt, and Ashley for talking with me and sharing their passion.
