Stress Urinary Incontinence
Stress Urinary Incontinence is a thing. It’s a thing that I have, and I share with 1 in 2 women, especially those of us past our 40’ s. I managed it with by using pads, but there were times, like during Tae Kwon Do classes that I would have to leave and go to the bathroom in the middle of kicking drills because the leaking was becoming something more.
That’s why I was so excited to try uresta®. It is a bladder support product that is easy to use and has made such a difference for me. You insert uresta® into your vagina, and it supports your urethra, so you don’t leak.
What’s in the kit
The uresta® starter kit comes with 3 sizes of bladder supports, a case, and very easy to understand instructions. The three sizes are so you can find the right fit. If you need a size other than what is in the kit, you can contact uresta®, and they have a full refund policy if you are not satisfied with your results. The website at uresta.com is full of information and support.
I admit to some nervousness when I first saw the product, but it really was easy to insert, and I couldn’t feel it at all when it was in place. Removal of the uresta® is just a matter of grasping the handle and gently pulling it out.
Using the uresta® device has been life-changing in so many ways. I did a kicking drill session and did not need to leave mid-session. When I sneezed and didn’t need to clench to prevent leaking. I don’t have to pee every few minutes, and when I do go, I empty my bladder. But I think the most life-changing moment was when I was folding laundry and saw that all my panties were “sensible”, with a gusset wide enough to hold a pad. I haven’t bought “frilly panties” for years.
It’s the little things that make one feel “old”, and you don’t even realize it when it is happening. I am excited that I have found uresta® that manages my stress incontinence, but even more happy that I found a product that helps me to be me. Excuse me while I go shopping for lingerie!
I hope that by sharing my experience you realize that you are not alone. This a simple, reusable, safe, made in Canada product that can help you to manage stress urinary incontinence.
